UCF Faculty&ADPi Alumnae Field Day
Here at the Zeta Omega chapter of Alpha Delta
Pi, we love thinking of fun and new ways to raise money for our favorite
philanthropy, Ronald McDonald House!
On November 2, 2014, our very own Community Service chair, Shelbee
Simmons, decided to take on a challenge and start Zeta Omega chapter’s very
first UCF Faculty& ADPi Alumnae Field Day hosted on our front lawn! Sisters, alumnae, faculty and their families enjoyed an
afternoon outdoors at ADPi with fun events like corn-hole, face painting, and
the infamous “Pie a Pi” booth.
Guests and sisters alike also enjoyed a raffle featuring cute UCF-spirited
items which was auctioned off with all proceeds going RMH efforts!
Shelbee Simmons, who has since been elected as the chapter's Executive Vice President, places a high importance on maintaining our chapter's respectable reputation within the UCF community.
"As
Community Relations Chair it was my responsibility this past year to make sure that
the Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi held a respectable reputation in the
UCF community. In doing so we came up with a special event that would include
hanging out with our teachers and ADPi alumnae. This event was a "Field
Day" that included fun field day activities, along with snacks, drinks and
an awesome raffle that benefitted a local philanthropy we were participating in
at the time. Our hopes are that over the years this event will attract people
to come out and get to know us in a fun environment."
Thanks so much Shelbee for putting this event
together and thank you to all the sisters that helped make it possible!
