Sister Ashley Thurman Competes in Miss UCF 2016

On February 7, Zeta Omega sister Ashley Thurman made us proud on the Miss UCF stage as she competed against nine other women for the sought-after title. The contestants were ranked based on multiple categories including private interview, talent, lifestyle and fitness, on-stage question, and evening wear. This competition annually provides women with the opportunity not only to represent their school for a calendar year but also to win thousands of dollars in scholarships. Ashley practiced for months for the different events and her hard work definitely paid off- she looked amazing!

She showed off her artistic abilities and passion for painting in the talent portion.

She looked absolutely stunning in the evening wear portion as well as lifestyle and fitness!

Ashley Thurman is a Marketing major at UCF with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She served as Alpha Delta Pi Leadership Chair in 2014, was the Greeks Against Human Trafficking Chair in 2015, and currently serves on the Alpha Delta Pi Philanthropy committee. She works as a Costa Sunglasses Marketing Intern and is an active member of Reel Knights- a UCF fishing club where she competes and has won 1st place titles. Her platform issue was "Victory Against The Silent Fight" for suicide awareness and the promotion of self-value. We could not be prouder of Ashley and all of her accomplishments and we loved getting together to support our favorite Miss UCF 2016 contestant!
